In partnership with AHC-KNUST and the Mastercard Foundation, CAPSTONE supported the delivery of the recently concluded Implementation Science Programme, which brought together 27 postgraduate learners from across Ghana.

Participants described the experience as transformative, confidence-building, and a major step toward bridging the gap between research and practice.

During the closing ceremony, Project Manager Ms. Eva Boakye-Yiadom commended the cohort for their dedication throughout the intensive sessions, noting how their reflections demonstrated a deep understanding of implementation science principles.

Students shared powerful insights from the training:

• Regina Arna Elinam Papah (MPH Global Health) highlighted how the programme clarified her questions on using implementation frameworks effectively and shifted her perspective on the discipline.

• Khosa Mohammed (Midwife & MPH student) emphasized how the course taught her to translate research findings into interventions that truly benefit communities.

• Joseph Abdul-Latif (MPhil Field Epidemiology) noted that the programme exceeded expectations, enriching his understanding of NCDs such as diabetes and hypertension and how evidence can guide improved management.

CAPSTONE remains committed to strengthening capacity for evidence-to-action across Africa’s health systems.
